Al Gore tells Children their Parents are Stupid

Al Gore, the father of the internet and one-time future President, who basically fell off the deep end, told 3,ooo 12 yr olds that they shouldn’t listen to their parents.

On January 19th, Gore told impressionable youngsters at the University of Maryland Youth Inaugural Conference that it was up to them to question their parents; because there are some things that they know that older people don’t.

“But I’m thinking back a long way to when I was your age and the civil rights revolution was unfolding,” Gore said. “And we kids asked our parents and their generation, ‘Explain to me again why it’s OK for the law to officially discriminate against people because of their skin color?’ And parent’s try to tell their kids the right thing, you know? Usually, I do. And when our parent’s generation couldn’t answer that question, that’s when the law started to change.”

Okay, so let me get this straight. According to Gore’s statement above, the Civil Rights Revolution was made possible because my parent’s generation couldn’t answer why blacks didn’t have the same rights as whites; so the law just changed all by itself.

Listen up, Al. There were plenty of PEOPLE that could and did answer the question as to why there was reprehensible discrimination. Those very PEOPLE fought for what’s called an Amendment and that very Amendment is now in what’s called our Constitution. Therefore, Al, the law didn’t perform magical tricks and transform itself. American People, ADULTS, made it happen. ADULTS were and are more intelligent than school aged children.

Al Gore went on to tell these children that they should question their parents; because we are in a period of rapid change and parents have old assumptions that are obsolete. He said there is new knowledge out there and it’s more widely available to young people who are in school and aren’t weighed down by the old flawed theories of their parents.

In a nutshell, Gore told these children that their parents are stupid and outdated and that their opinions and beliefs are wrong! He told these kids that they are the only ones that can access new information because schools are the only places that have all this new knowledge. Wow, I had no idea-probably because I’m just a stupid, outdated, flawed parent. Guess I better chuck my computer, internet, cancel cable, quit reading and just ask my kids what’s going on in the world!

Gore should be brought up on criminal charges. He has no right or authority indoctrinating our youth. He has absolutely no right and again, no authority, telling our children not to listen to their parents. It’s child abuse telling children that their parents are stupid and that their ideas, opinions and beliefs are wrong. Al Gore is a menace to society and if anything is a threat to our global atmosphere it’s him.

  1. well pammy gore may be on to something though. didn't his racist dad vote against the civil rights movement?!!... in all seriousness though, why does the left have the attitude of resentment and disruption. they can not leave well enough alone. whether it is with ones own personal worship or home life they can help but disrupt! and his advice is rooted in that!

  2. Gore gives me a headache. He still can't get over the fact that Bush beat him. He'll never be able to compensate for that. Nobel Prize, Oscar, endless accolades from the left...all of that pales in comparison to becoming POTUS.

  3. this reminds me of the story I read about the girl who had a nervous breakdown and couldn't sleep after seeing inconvienient truth and her poor mother was trying to get a ticket for one of his appearences so he could console her. On he could you see, because he's now the world's "daddy" who's going to save kilimanjaro (the sun causes climate change)

  4. wow its not that big of a deal. I think all he was saying is that from generation to generation, shitty thinking falls out of line as a new group of people more willing to accept the obvious truths comes into power. I know that gore was speaking in the context of global warming, which many of you disagree with, but the idea is true regardless of your belief on that issue. Public support of things such as integrated school systems and racial equality didn't just happen magically, you know. Major changes took place and the next generation saw them as a positive and kept them going.

Also, to the overzealous parent complaining about an attitude adjustment; you might need a reality adjustment since your bullshit melodrama probably made the situation a whole lot worse for your kid and gave him/her a lot more mental and emotional damage. I can only imagine how i would have felt as a PRE TEEN and having my father/mother confront the teacher and GET THE COPS CALLED for such a stupid reason. Cut the cord already man/lady, your kid is probably gonna grow up a democrat anyway since you have pushed all this anti-p.c. rightwing moral majority shit down his/her throat for so long.

otherwise, great blog...keep up the good work!!!!!!!!

  5. Danny, I wrote that racial equality didn't just magically happen. It took PEOPLE. The entire point of my post is that Gore is telling children not to listen to their parents. Parents/Adults are the PEOPLE who in generations of the past made laws to stop racial inequality, not children. If Gore wants to spread his theory that global warming is caused by humans then preach to adults, not children. If parents believe the same as Gore, then it's up to them to tell THEIR children , NOT Al Gore.

  6. This is nothing new, actually. The NEA (National Education Association) has been pushing that agenda for years. They say, "Kids, Don't listen to your parents, they don't know anything. Listen to your teachers."

See, they don't want our kids to be educated. They want our kids to be indoctrinated.

  8. Pamela D, I can understand your point, I still disagree in that its been a long ride since slavery to get to the point of civil rights and it was generation change that made that possible at all (even though it was hard and even though the adults did change to rule) I can see your way of thinking though. Agree to disagree.

    Most Rev Gregori,

Just because I used poor wordage doesn't mean I'm lacking morality. I know i made a lot of assumptions in my post, but you did them right back by casting a stone at my moral behavior. hmmmm
